Veterans Day free meals, discounts, and deals

SAN ANTONIO -- Veterans Day is Monday, November 11th, and businesses across the country will be offering free/discounted meals and deals for veterans and military service members.

San Antonio Zoo. In honor of Veterans Day, the San Antonio Zoo is doing something special for military members. Members of the military and their families will receive half-off zoo admission on Monday. All service members have to do is show their military I.D at the ticket office. Chick-fil-A Offers Free Meal at San Antonio Restaurants

All 23 San Antonio-New Braunfels area Chick-fil-A restaurants will honor local military personnel and their families with Military Appreciation Day on Monday, Nov. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. All retired and active duty military personnel are invited, along with their immediate family members, to enjoy a free meal at a local Chick-fil-A restaurant.

If you wake up hungry, head over to Denny's for all-you-can-eat stacks of buttermilk pancakes.

If you're feeling scruffy, Great Clips has you covered. Vets can walk in on Monday - with no appointment - and get free haircuts. If you don't have the time Monday, or just got a buzz cut, you can still snatch a rain check for a freebie haircut.

When you're ready for lunch - with pizzazz, you might try Hooters, which offers vets free meals to $10.99 when you buy a beverage.

California Pizza Kitchen will serve vets any pizza on its menu for free - even The Works.

Golden Corral rolls out a free buffet dinner and free beverage to active-duty and retired military.

Participating Krispy Kreme stores will feed a veteran's sweet tooth with a free doughnut and small coffee.

If you don't want the day to end, you might cap it off with a caffeinated salute at Starbucks, which will pour a free, tall brewed coffee to vets and active military - and their spouses.
