VOTE: Who is the Best High School Band Director?

SAN ANTONIO -- To be a good high school band director, you've gotta know how to juggle.

In addition to conducting a marching band and concerts, a high school band director has to teach kids how to read music and make sure they know how to deliver it. And it's not just about keeping tempo, it's about keeping up with grades and performance standards.

To put a spin on things, a band director must also know how to take the band out for a spin -- to all of the events they must attend. And then there's managing the budget, which includes raising funds for trips, maintaining school band equipment, and planning, planning, and more planning.

We asked who you think is the Best High School Band Director in the San Antonio area, and here are your Top 5 nominees:

ALFONSO ALVARADO - Brackenridge High School

BRANNON BAKER - Lee High School

RICHARD HERRERA - Brandeis High School

WILLIAM RICKETTS -- Southside High School

ROLAND SANDOVAL -- O'Connor High School

VOTING HAS ENDED. We'll announce the winner Wednesday on News 4 San Antonio at 6:30 p.m.
